The main aim of Access programmes is to prepare learners from non-traditional backgrounds and under-represented groups for admission to undergraduate education.

A significant number of students entering Higher Education now do so from Access programmes. Therefore, as an aid to admissions tutors, UCAS is pleased to announce a new website dedicated to Access issues. The first service on this site will be the database holding the Quality Assurance Agency (QAA) recognised Access programmes. The database includes more than 1000 Access programmes that are recognised and registered by QAA.
