Security

For security reasons, track will timeout after 5 minutes of user inactivity. UCAS strongly recommends that after you have finished using the service, you log out by clicking on the 'log out' button and then close down your browser. This will ensure that no one else will be able to access your details.

Many Internet browsers have a built-in feature which allows you to save your password. If you do use this it will allow anyone else using the PC on which the password was saved to log on to track and view your details. For this reason we recommend that you do not use this feature.

Technical Details

Track runs on a secure web server. We recommend that you use Internet Explorer version 4 or higher, Netscape Navigator version 4.08 or higher or Opera version 6 or higher to access the service. Older versions of browsers can cause problems with secure web sites.
