What is Apply?

Apply is a secure, web-based, online application system requiring no installation.

Key features of Apply

  • A web application requires no installation, and has no data storage problems.

  • Flexibility. Applicants and staff can use Apply wherever there is access to the internet.

  • Applications are saved at UCAS; applicants cannot save them to disk.

  • The UCAS website has the latest course information.

  • Apply provides instant feedback, automatically validating important details like date of birth and course codes. Any mistake can be corrected.

  • Full instructions and detailed online help are available at the touch of a button. There is also a guide called Applying Online which is available as a pdf and has all the background information for all sections of Apply.

  • The text for personal statements and references can be copied and pasted into applications from a word processing package.

  • Application details can be checked and printed at any time.

  • The application details and reference can be changed at any time before the application is sent to UCAS.

  • Applications can only be processed by UCAS when the application and reference have been completed and submitted to UCAS.

  • Applications can normally be processed within one working day once submitted to UCAS.
