UCAS membership is limited to universities and colleges offering higher education courses, and extends to all UK universities (except the OU), most colleges of higher education and a number of colleges of further education. UCAS membership varies from year to year and changes in membership may skew statistics. Limited data is available on individual HE institutions.

If you want more detailed data you can use our simple statistical enquiry service to devise your own tables showing HE institution (by name or UCAS institution code) by any of the following:

You can also filter by UK country of institution and course type (Degree/HND).

More flexibility
You can create your own multi-dimensional tables (ie Institution name by Sex and Subject) using our annual datasets. These are free downloadable spreadsheet files that enable you to undertake more sophisticated analysis of the data we provide using pivot tables. Using these, you still can plot Institution name against any of the above, and you can also include one or more additional variables from the list.

Detailed university and college information remains the property of the institution, and can only be provided with their permission. However, aggregated data on six or more institutions may be provided.
