  • The UK has a unique, world-wide reputation for quality higher education

  • The range of courses available is enormous, from certificates or diplomas in specialist vocational programmes such as nursing and midwifery to first degree qualifications in many academic disciplines. There are over 50,000 courses in the UCAS system alone

  • In the UK, higher education takes place at a variety of institutions from small rural colleges to large inner city universities. There are 325 Higher Education Institutions in the UCAS system

  • As an international student in UK higher education, you will be joining over 300,000 other students from outside the UK, sharing their experiences and cultures

  • All colleges and universities that are in the UCAS scheme are recognised by the UK Government or offer courses that are validated by UK Government-recognised universities

  • UCAS can give you comprehensive, impartial and up-to-date information on higher education courses and universities and colleges

  • UCAS maintains close links with universities and colleges and understands what their requirements are

  • You only fill in one application to apply for up to six different courses at one or more universities or colleges

  • UCAS can advise you on how your application is going
